*Salon

 Salon was a beautiful grey stallion born in 1959 in Russia. He sired 64 foals in Russia through 1972. The was then sold to Germany and then to America. He died in 1984. Salon sired many champion and influential get but his most famous was his son *Muscat. *Muscat sired 18 national winners who were at least half-Russian breeding from 1991-1994. *Muscat became one of the most influential Arabian sires in history.
Salon won a Certificate of First Degree when he was shown at the the Moscow All-Union Exhibition in 1969. He had two daughters that were also shown that day who also won certificates. Salon was 21 years old when American breeder Robert Statmore of Make Believe Farms in California bought him and brought him to America in 1980.

Salon had a stud fee of $15,000 but his still bred a lot of mares and continued to produce champion babies. Salon's health began to fall in 1983 and  Mr. Statmore decided to retire him. He sold his entire herd to Lasma. There at Lasma Salon spent his last days in retirement and rest. He died on July 4, 1984 at the age of 25.
